Matriarchy is community led, and built on connection, consensus, compassion, and responsibility.  In contrast, Patriarchy centers men, and is built on hierarchy, competition, and domination.

Under matriarchy, caregiving is central; everything is built around care, 

which ensures that everyone thrives; children, the elderly, 

and everyone in between (even men!).
